CAP II

The CAP II program is designed specifically for adolescents who have experienced more than a single negative consequence due to the use of mood-altering chemicals. This program provides education on prevention, family communication, and peer acceptance without the use of mood-altering chemicals. Cognitive-behavioral coping skills are used and feature motivational interviewing, modeling, and role playing. Program participants bring family members on the first night.

CAP I is designed for adolescents who have experienced an isolated drug related incident. The purpose of this program is to heighten drug awareness and provide mechanisms for parents and adolescents to gain insight into the impact of drug use. Parents are required to attend and learn about drug use and current drug trends. Cognitive-behavioral coping skills are used and feature motivational interviewing and modeling.

Substance Awareness Program SAP I

4 hour/8 hour program in Mankato

Saturday 8:30am – 12:30pm / 8:30am – 4:30pm

Cost: $50.00 / $65.00

The SAP I program is offered to those who have experienced a drug or alcohol related consequence. Typically this client will come through the legal system on a first time drug related offense; a DWI, minor consumption or other consequential related difficulties. The purpose of this program is to provide education related to the use of mood altering chemicals specific to impaired judgment, and an examination of the individual and social consequences. Cognitive-behavioral coping skills are used and feature motivational interviewing and the change model.

INSIGHT

Insight Program

12 hour Program

October 2 - 23, 2017 Mankato

Monday 6:30pm to 9:30pm Cost: $250.00

This program will focus specifically on disease progression, financial consequences of chemical use, the impact of chemical use on relationships, and alternatives to using. Cognitive-behavior coping skills are used and feature motivational interviewing, modeling and role playing along with the change model and chemical use history. This program will use community-based resources, video presentations, and interactive assignments that will increase participant’s awareness of how chemical use has affected past and present decisions.

Substance Abuse Program SAP II

20 hour program

October 2-23, 2017 in Mankato

Monday and Tuesday evenings 6:30pm-9:30pm

Cost: $450

The SAP II program is designed for adults who have been assessed with a chemical abuse diagnosis and the consequences of their use has moved beyond a single incident of impairment. The purpose of this program is to provide an in-depth education on the use of mood-altering chemicals from a multidimensional perspective. Cognitive-behavioral coping skills are used and feature motivational interviewing, modeling and role playing along with the change model and chemical use history. This program will use community based resources, video presentations, and interactive assignments that will increase participants awareness of how chemical use has affected past and present decisions. Additionally, this program will teach participants about chemical dependency and the continuum of care.
